“With our current release, we have covered all aspects: We wanted to make the user experience even more intuitive and convenient, provide administration staff with more extensive security features such as brute force protection mechanisms and offer developers goodies such as app development via JavaScript,” explains Dagmar Geer, CEO, innovaphone AG. “Our goal is to provide a comprehensive enterprise solution where all channels and applications can be launched from a unified interface. Whether it is a video conference, a quick query via chat, a glance at Presence or ordering lunch via the lunch app – all workflows are seamlessly interlocked through myApps.”
One of the highlights of V13r2 is the perfect integration of macOS and myApps: as innovaphone myApps is available as a native application for macOS, there is a new depth of integration with regard to device selection, application sharing and the use of many apps. The release also brings a new level of integration for Microsoft Teams users: the myApps client has been integrated as a custom app (the so-called Custom App) and can thus be used directly in Microsoft Teams. This gives the user the best of both worlds.
One special highlight of the current innovaphone release for the developer community is the possibility to easily program self-developed apps not only via C++, but now also via JavaScript using a template provided by innovaphone. Dagmar Geer underlines, “We are particularly pleased that we can now offer our development partners the opportunity to place and market their self-developed apps in our innovaphone App Store on an equal footing with our innovaphone apps. The first companies, such as Snom, are already present.”
