A threatening phone call being received by the police is just one of many scenarios where it is crucial for call recording to be in working order and for it to be possible to listen to the call as often as necessary. Dagmar Geer, innovaphone’s CEO explains, “Various wiretapping scandals in recent years have shown that telephone calls are sometimes recorded with criminal intent. However, the opposite is much more common, namely that recording calls can be crucial, maybe even vital, in order to save lives. innovaphone Recording is a solution which is easy to implement and intuitive to use. The latter is particularly important when seconds make all the difference.” The recordings are converted into WAV files and can then be played back, downloaded or deleted. However, innovaphone Recording is not only needed by critical infrastructures: for example, call recordings are also needed for quality assurance purposes in call centres or during contract negotiations in the banking and insurance sector.
From a technical point of view, the innovaphone Recording solution is extremely flexible and can therefore be used across a wide range of industries and specifications. Settings can be made to record complete calls or to record selected parts of a call. It does not matter which end device is being used: Phone calls can be recorded by all IP phones, analog end devices, DECT phones and even smartphones. The recording functionality can be activated directly on desktop phones and softphones as well as on the innovaphone PBX trunk lines (in on-premises, cloud and IPVA solutions). Group-based recordings are also possible, this means that it only records the calls of the users defined within the group.
