Do you have employees who work on terminal server environments such as Citrix? Do you have employees who remotely access their computers at the office via remote desktop connection? This saves company resources while it offers employees much-wanted flexibility.
What if employees often need to make calls via the company network while working remotely? In this case, virtual environments are limited. In order to make and receive phone calls, you need to switch from the terminal server or remote connection to your local computer. This can become tedious.
The myApps Plugin for Virtual Desktops enables audio calls via softphone in a virtual environment (terminal servers such as Citrix Workspace, Windows Remote Desktop, etc.). The plugin is installed on the local computer of the user. It starts automatically once the virtual environment is opened. The user can start and accept calls directly via the softphone without having to switch to the local computer.
The myApps client is installed on the VDI (Virtual Desktop Environment).
The admin can centrally install the plugin (on the local computer) and the myApps client (in the VDI) – no additional configuration is required by the user.
The plugin is available free of charge, no licensing required.

Our software version 14r2 has a new feature available in the Softphone App and the Phone App.

What if international teams had no more language barriers? Thanks to the Translate button in the Connect App, everybody can create posts and send replies in the own native language.
All it takes is one click to get a text translation - What a useful tool for an international mindset!
By the way: It is also possible to set the translations function for every post within Connect to be translated automatically, if the post was created in another language.
Here are the instructions: Open the Connect App and go the the hamburger menu at the top right corner. Now, click on User Settings and check the box for "Translate automatically".
Good to know: The translation works with an interface to DeepL. Up to 500,000 characters per month are free of charge (anything beyond requires a fee-based subscription). To lower costs, all translations are saved locally. If a text was already translated within the Connect App before, the Translations App will fall back on this previously stored translation. In this case, the characters will no longer count towards the monthly allocation of DeepL.
