The IP1203 is an IP DECT gateway (base station) which extends the innovaphone PBX to include DECT compatible subscribers. It is the successor of the IP1202 and compatible with all IP1202 models. The range of functions remains identical.
Different models cover all needs – from the single-cell 4 channel base station IP1203/4s to the IP1203e with multi-cell capability and eight channels available in parallel including a connector for external antennas – select the suitable base station for every area of use.
Concerning IP, the system is entirely H.323 and SIP compatible. It supports echo cancellation and a number of codecs for voice compression. The integrated High Assurance Boot (HAB) ensures that only authenticated codes are executed.
Concerning DECT, the system is GAP and CAP compliant. However, the handsets IP64 and IP65 from innovaphone are especially to be recommended. Both telephones are well-suited for parallel operation with fixed telephones. The features of the PBX can be used intuitively via the additional R key as a softkey. It can be used to quickly set up a second call, for switching and call transfer. It can also be used to set up three-party conference calls.
There are four different versions of the IP DECT base station.
The 8-channel versions IP1203 and IP1203e (additionally equipped with two MCX connectors for external antennas) enable up to eight simultaneous calls and can further be expanded with additional base stations for roaming and handover (multi-cell).
The 4-channel versions IP1203/4 (multi-cell) and IP1203/4s (single-cell) enable up to four simultaneous calls and are distinctly cheaper. Other than the limited channels, the IP1203/4 does not have any other limitations concerning functionality. The IP1203/4s is the most cost-efficient model and cannot be expanded with additional base stations (no handover possible).
All base stations of the IP1203 series can be managed by the administrator via the Devices app.
