innovaphone Certified according to ISO 14001

Sindelfingen, May 2^nd, 2023 – Companies are increasingly focusing on conscious and sustainable management as well as using resources economically. The Sindelfingen-based manufacturer innovaphone is now certified according to the strict criteria of ISO 14001, a globally recognized standard related to environmental management of companies and organizations. An internal environmental team at the Sindelfingen-based company ensures the environmental protection measures are implemented and consistently optimized at the company specialized in work and communications solutions.

“We have always considered ecologically responsible, sustainable action to be an important guiding principle for our business decisions. The compact housing of our VoIP gateways, the repair service for our products and the unrivalled low energy consumption of our collaboration and conference platform “myApps” are all designed with sustainability in mind,” explains Dagmar Geer, CEO of innovaphone AG. Geer continues, “Many of the measures that were subjected to the critical review as part of the ISO 14001 certification had already been firmly established at innovaphone beforehand.” For example, the new innovaphone headquarter building in Sindelfingen was built in line with the latest energy standards and there are charging points in the underground car park for the high number of electrically powered vehicles in the company fleet. innovaphone pursues the goal of highly respecting environmental aspects throughout the company – be it by subsidizing Jobrad bicycle leasing or public transport abonnements for the employees, or refurbishing hardware, or reducing the use of paper by thinking before printing or reusing shredded cardboard for product packaging.

In terms of personnel, innovaphone has set up an environmental team from all core areas of the company headed by Bedih Adanur as environmental management officer. The environmental team defines and identifies the measures needed to operate in an environmentally conscious and sustainable manner and is also responsible for ensuring compliance with the ISO 14001 standard.
