In times of wiretapping scandals, recording phone calls is often associated with something negative. However, for certain companies, institutions and authorities, it is necessary to record conversations. Sometimes even lives depend on it. These critical areas of use may include emergency call centers of the police and fire departments (e.g. 911 call centers in the US). Financial institutions such as banks and other service providers engaging in contractually binding phone calls with customers also need to be able to record these calls.

What does the innovaphone Recording Solution Offer?

innovaphone Recording is a solution to flexibly record inbound & outbound phone calls. Users can either record entire phone calls or they can record sections of certain calls.

The app is ideal for contractually binding phone calls or if the recording of calls is required for security measures, such as emergency calls or threatening calls. innovaphone Recording is further ideal for the financial sector, adhering to MiFID (Markets in Financial Instruments Directive) – the regulatory requirement to record calls.

The recordings are conveniently managed via the Recordings App. This app provides a user-friendly overview of all recorded calls. The recordings can be filtered, played back, downloaded and deleted.

 

How can I Record Calls?

Where can I Record Calls?
  • Permanently (transparent): all calls are always recorded (this option is set up by the admin)
  • Manually: the user activates and deactivates the recording function directly at the end device (desk phone or Softphone)
  • Optional: the recording function is always turned on but the user can turn this function off at the end device (desk phone or Softphone)
  • Manually, at the myApps Softphone or the innovaphone desk phone
  • Via the interfaces of the PBX: All phone calls can be recoreded, irrespective of the end device used
